Corbett High School is widely recognized as one of the premier programs in the State of Oregon and has gained national recognition as a center for Advanced Placement achievement. CHS has been recognized repeatedly by the State of Oregon (with EXCEPTIONAL ratings) the Confederation of Oregon School Administrators, the Oregon Schools Boards Association and the Oregon Small Schools Association for academic excellence and curriculum innovation. Newsweek Magazine has rated Corbett High School number one in Oregon for the past two years and number 86 in the nation this past year.

Corbett principal Randy Trani was recognized by his peers as Oregon High School Principal of the Year for 2007. The Corbett High School Band, led by Tim Killgore, won First In State in 2007 and has been among the top five finishers for nearly a decade.

The Corbett High School Culinary Arts Program, led by Brooke Huddleston, is unique in its mission to provide full food service to the students of the entire district while training students in meal preparation and management.

The Corbett High School Academic Decathlon team repeated as State Champions. Their team-high 38,219 points out-distanced second-place Riverdale by over 7700 points. Seniors Lara Dunton and Tyler Jones, along with Junior Jacy Clare, earned gold medals for the top scores in their respective categories. Senior Lara Dunton was recognized for repeating as the top Oregon competitor for the second consecutive year. She scored 7499 points of a possible 10,000. Team members Sasha LaGreide, Will Matheson, Matt Hammel, Laura Kimes, Morgon Purvine and Brandon Sager will join Dunton, Jones and Clare to compete at the United States Academic Decathlong national competition in April. This year's national event will be held in Memphis, Tennessee and will feature some 350 top scholars from throughout the United States.

Corbett's Wrestling team had its best showing in 20 years, finishing 14th overall with four wrestlers placing at the State Tournament. Wrestling Results: CC Williams placed second, Nathanial Dahl placed 3rd, Tim Makin placed 4th and J.R. Renner placed 6th in their respective classes. Great job all around. Corbett's Swim Team had three competitors claim four medals at the State Meet. Isaac Hewitt claimed a 2nd in the 100 yard Backstroke and 3rd in the 100 yard Freestyle. Peter Killgore picked up 4th in the 100 yard Butterfuly, and McKenna Petersen placed 4th in the 100 yard Butterfly.
